On May 30, 2025, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Department of Tourism of the Faculty of Geography at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, represented by the Head of the Department, Marta Pylypivna Mal’ska, and the Ukrainian School of Hospitality “Ukrainian Horeca School” (LLC “School of Professional Training”), represented by its Director, Mykhailo Mykhailovych Shevelyuk.
The purpose of this Memorandum is to unite efforts aimed at implementing state policy in the hospitality and restaurant industry, focused on the development of science and the training of new specialists. The subject of this Memorandum is cooperation aimed at providing students of the Department of Tourism with practical experience in the hospitality and restaurant business, as well as developing scientific and educational activities.
During the meeting, the leadership of the Department of Tourism, Faculty of Geography, and the Ukrainian School of Hospitality discussed the main areas of cooperation, namely:
- Organizing joint events;- Promoting the formation and support of a positive image of the Department of Tourism and the Ukrainian School of Hospitality;- Implementing effective collaboration mechanisms to enhance the professional competencies of students;- Supporting joint actions to develop knowledge, skills, thinking approaches, perspectives, values, and increasing the competence of participants in joint events, ensuring competitiveness in the labor market;- Disseminating information about available human resources to facilitate development and self-realization, as well as conducting relevant information campaigns.
