Hospitality as a science, innovation and vocation - the results of an important conference in Lviv and Synegora
On May 15-16, the Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Bobersky became an intellectual and emotional center for all those who create the future of tourism, hospitality and education in Ukraine. The 5th All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation “Innovation, Hospitality, Tourism: Science, Education, Practice” was held at the Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Bobersky.
This event brought together educators, practitioners, researchers and future professionals in the industry from different parts of Ukraine and the world. The topics raised were the transformation of education, new standards in the field of hospitality, as well as the important role of tourism in national resilience during the war.
On behalf of the Ukrainian School of Hospitality, I had the honor not only to speak at the conference, but also to head the jury of Balta Hospitality — a project that this year reached a new level and united youth, professionals and business around the idea of service as art.
The continuation of the conference was especially exciting and symbolic — a meeting at the state residence of the President of Ukraine “Synehora” in the very heart of the Carpathians. In the place where fateful state decisions were made, we talked about tourism, culture, education and hospitality as a strategic force of the future.
I sincerely thank the organizers of the conference for the high level, inspiration and professionalism. A special deep gratitude goes to Professor Maria Paska — the ideological inspirer of the event, a powerful scientist and a person with a big heart. Her vision, leadership and faith in the young generation are a true example to follow.
These were not just days of the conference — it was a space of trust, new meanings, warm embraces and very important decisions for the development of the tourism and hospitality future of Ukraine.
Sincerely,
Mykhailo Sheveliuk
