Science Festival – 2025 in Vocational Education

On May 21, 2025, as part of the Science Festival – 2025 and the All-Ukrainian Week of Vocational Education, a national scientific-practical webinar titled “The Science of the Future in the Context of Digital Educational Transformation” was held for educators from vocational (vocational-technical) and professional pre-tertiary education institutions, as well as staff of educational (scientific) and methodological centers (offices) of vocational education. The event brought together 65 participants.

The webinar agenda included the following key topics:

– integration of pedagogical innovations and digitalization into the educational process;

– use of digital educational platforms for managing educational projects;

– digital tools for assessing students’ learning outcomes: case studies, practices, challenges;

– ensuring academic integrity in the digital age: automated plagiarism detection systems, metadata analytics, digital repositories;

– artificial intelligence technologies in the professional development of educators.

The following speakers presented their work:

– Nataliia Shatskykh, lecturer at Shostka Higher Vocational School, with the presentation: “New Approaches to Assessment: Digital Tools in Action”;

– Halyna Pohoretska, lecturer at Chernivtsi Vocational Lyceum of Automotive Service, with the presentation: “Google Tools for Organizing Asynchronous Learning: Examples from Occupational Safety Lessons”;

– Mykhailo Sheveliyk, PhD in Cultural Studies, vocational training instructor at Lviv Vocational College of Modeling and Restaurant Service, with the presentation: “The Science of the Future in the Context of Digital Educational Transformation: HoReCa Experience, Patriotic Education, and New Opportunities”;

Kateryna Korin, lecturer at the Higher Vocational Mining and Construction School, with the presentation: “The Education of the Future Starts Today: The Impact of Digital Tools on Learning.”

Active participation in the discussion was taken by members of the Department of Digital Educational Resources at the Institute of Vocational Education of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine:

Mykola Pryhodii, Liliia Luparenko, Oleksandr Humennyi, Vadym Kushnir, Vladyslav Belan, and Ivan Holub.
