


On May 8, 2025, a guest lecture on the topic “How to create an unforgettable experience for guests in the HORECA sector and attract guests in 2025?”
for students of the Department of Tourism, specialty J2 “Hotel and Restaurant Business and Catering” was delivered by the head of the Ukrainian Horeca School, restaurant service expert Mykhailo Shevelyuk.
The structure of the lecture included the following elements:

In his report, the speaker introduced the students to the areas of work of the Ukrainian School of Hospitality - as a unique project in Lviv, aimed at the development of the HoReCa sector, and shared future projects. He presented a list of courses and trainings of the School, including:
Successful restaurant manager;
Management and food safety in a restaurant;
“Your own barista”;
Basic bartender course in Lviv;
“Service and communication”;
“Mystery guest” service;
Advertising SEO publication about an establishment in Ukraine, etc.
The speaker emphasized that the uniqueness of the School lies in individual courses, which are conducted through practical classes. Thanks to the system of service training in the restaurant business, the School's students receive specific algorithms for working with a team and qualitative indicators for evaluating service in detail.The lecture was very interesting, informative and raised many questions from students, to which the speaker gladly and exhaustively answered. Mykhailo Shevelyuk also spoke about his career growth, which gave a motivational impetus to the career development of future specialists in "Hotel and Restaurant Business and Catering".The event concluded with a discussion of the components of the OPP "Hotel and Restaurant Business" and the provision of practical recommendations.
