On May 15–16, 2025, the Ivan Boberskyi Lviv State University of Physical Culture hosted the 5th All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation titled “Innovation, Hospitality, Tourism: Science, Education, Practice.”
The event brought together educators, practitioners, researchers, and future professionals in the field from across Ukraine and the world. The key topics included the transformation of education, new standards in hospitality, and the crucial role of tourism in national resilience during wartime.
Mykhailo Sheveliyk, Head of the Ukrainian School of Hospitality, took part in the conference and chaired the jury of the Hospitality Battle — a project that reached a new level this year by uniting youth, professionals, and businesses around the concept of service as an art form.
A particularly emotional and symbolic continuation of the conference was the gathering at the President of Ukraine’s official residence “Syniohora” in the heart of the Carpathians. In a place where momentous state decisions were once made, participants discussed tourism, culture, education, and hospitality as strategic forces for the future.
We extend our sincere thanks to the organizers for the high level of professionalism, inspiration, and dedication. Special heartfelt gratitude goes to Professor Mariia Paska — the visionary behind the event, a powerful scholar, and a person of great heart. Her leadership, vision, and belief in the younger generation serve as a true example to follow.
These were not just days of a conference — they became a space of trust, new meanings, warm connections, and critical decisions shaping the future of hospitality and tourism in Ukraine.
With respect,
Mykhailo Sheveliyk
