2025 marked a significant milestone for the domestic hospitality industry and professional education. It was the year that laid the foundation for the official cooperation between the Ukrainian Horeca School and the Center for Ukrainian-European Scientific Cooperation (CUESC).

The first highly successful outcome of this strategic partnership was the comprehensive professional development program: "Effective Service and Management: Key Components of Success in the Restaurant Business."

The founder of the Ukrainian Horeca School, seasoned practitioner, and PhD, Mykhailo Sheveliuk, acted as the co-organizer, the author of the program, and the constant speaker of the course.

The educational program spanned 180 working hours (6 ECTS credits) and allowed participants to dive deep into 16 fundamental topics, including:

• The impact of service standards on the overall profitability of a restaurant.

• The practical application of motivational theories in managing restaurant teams.

• The art of creating an emotional connection with guests and effective conflict management.

Beyond the strong practical foundation, the program also featured a significant scientific component. A professional collection of scientific and methodological reports was published following the course. As part of this academic endeavor, Mykhailo Sheveliuk shared his expert insights on implementing digital tools for service industry enterprises.

«This project was just the beginning of our extensive joint work. I am sincerely grateful to CUESC Director Mykhailo Vikhlyaev for a reliable partnership, and to all the participants—educators and practitioners alike—for their dedication to advancing Ukrainian service. We continue our mission to make domestic hospitality a benchmark of quality,» noted Mykhailo Sheveliuk.
