Recognizing this, the Viacheslav Chornovil Institute of Sustainable Development and the Ukrainian HoReCa School have officially solidified their partnership. The memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Director of the Institute, Sviatoslav Kniaz, and the Head of the School, Mykhailo Sheveliuk.The main goal of the agreement is to combine the academic foundation of one of the country's leading universities with the real business experience of experts in the restaurant and hotel market.First Steps: From Theory to Hard PracticeThe partnership began not just on paper, but immediately with practical interaction. A guest intensive lecture titled "Startup in HoReCa Without Illusions: Launch, Risks, and First Money" was held for students majoring in "Tourism and Recreation" and "Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering Business."The speaker was Mykhailo Sheveliuk, who shared real-world economic insights with the students.
During the intensive, key issues for every future restaurateur or hotelier were discussed:- How to launch a business from scratch: a step-by-step algorithm without "rose-colored glasses."- Real market challenges: what an entrepreneur in the hospitality sector faces daily.- Financial risk management: how to protect investments at the start.- Monetization strategies: how to quickly reach the break-even point and generate early profits."Modern education in the hospitality sector must be as close to business realities as possible. Our task is to show students the true face of the industry, with its risks and opportunities, so that they enter the labor market as prepared and confident professionals," note the initiators of the cooperation.The signing of this memorandum marks another step toward creating a qualitatively new ecosystem for training personnel in the Ukrainian hospitality industry, which continues to develop and requires strong specialists despite all challenges.
