Restaurant Service of the Future — Through the Eyes of Youth
https://chtei-knteu.cv.ua/news_2025_10_07/
On October 8, I had the pleasure of giving an online lecture for students of the Department of Food Technologies and Hotel and Restaurant Service at the Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (CTEI KNUTE) as part of the activities of the School of Culinary Mastery and Service and the Ukrainian School of Hospitality – Ukrainian HoReCa School.
We discussed what service will look like in the coming years:
- how guests’ expectations are changing,
- what trends are set by the Swiss School of Hospitality,
- and how digitalization and human warmth can coexist within one restaurant.
I also shared practical case studies from Lviv establishments — illustrating how teamwork, culture, and communication shape the invisible impression a guest takes away.
The event was attended by Associate Professors Inna Danyliuk, Roman Hyshchuk, Tetiana Brykova, Yevhen Kryvokhyzha, as well as students of the Chernivtsi Vocational College of Business and Food Technologies and their lecturer Olha Adamovych, who were invited as part of the department’s career guidance initiatives.
My sincere thanks to Ms. Liubov Strutynska for the invitation and warm welcome, and to the students and Ms. Olha Adamovych for their engagement and thoughtful questions.
It brings me great joy to see that young people are rethinking service — not as a set of rules, but as a culture of reciprocity, care, and growth.
Thank you to all participants for an open conversation and genuine inspiration.
Hospitality of the new generation begins with such meetings.
