On September 8, 2026, in Lviv, a Memorandum of Cooperation was officially signed between the Ukrainian School of Hospitality (“Ukrainian Horeca School”) and the State Educational Institution “Lviv Higher Vocational School of Technologies and Service.”

This strategic agreement unites the expertise of an established hospitality training hub with the educational capacity of a leading vocational institution to achieve a shared objective: elevating the training of culinary, restaurant, and hotel professionals to an innovative, industry-aligned standard.

Bridging Academia and the Fast-Paced HoReCa Market

The modern hospitality industry is developing rapidly. Guest expectations are rising, and the demand for exceptional service culture has never been higher. To succeed in this environment, educational institutions and active industry practitioners must work hand in hand.

“Hospitality begins with quality education, deep respect for the profession, and a genuine readiness to mentor. Meaningful progress in our industry happens only when business leaders don't merely look for qualified staff, but actively invest in students while they are still in school. This memorandum is a concrete step toward an integrated ecosystem where young talents build real competencies and launch fulfilling careers,” stated Mykhailo Sheveliuk, Head of the Ukrainian Horeca School.

Key Pillars of the Partnership

Effective through the end of 2030, the memorandum outlines comprehensive collaboration focused on:

  • Applied Industry Knowledge: Integrating current hospitality standards, trends, and operational expertise directly into academic programs.
  • Joint Events & Workshops: Organizing collaborative masterclasses, expert lectures, interactive workshops, and panel discussions for students and educators.
  • Cultivating Service Excellence: Training students not only in technical skills, but also in empathy, guest-centric thinking, emotional intelligence, and professional ethics.
  • Internships & Career Pathways: Opening doors to real-world internships, practical apprenticeships, and employment opportunities at leading hospitality establishments.

The Ukrainian Horeca School expresses its sincere gratitude to the leadership of the Lviv Higher Vocational School of Technologies and Service, specifically to Acting Director Oksana Chaikovska, for their visionary approach and commitment to empowering the next generation of hospitality leaders.

Together, we shape the future of Ukrainian hospitality!
