On May 14, 2026, an incredibly important event for the entire HoReCa sector took place — a round table on the topic "Personnel problems of hospitality industry establishments. Synergism of efforts of higher educational institutions, business, and the state in solving them". The event was held in a hybrid format: the base location was the Educational Restaurant 112 of ONTU in Odesa, which participants could also join via a Zoom online broadcast.

This meeting brought together leading scientists, business representatives, local communities, and the state to solve the industry's most pressing challenges.

Key Topics Shaping the New Market Standard

The event program covered the most critical directions defining the vector of Ukrainian service development:

• Personnel challenges: Discussions focused on staff hunger in the hotel and restaurant business, modern market requirements, and the business vision for shaping a new personnel training standard.

• Education and state regulation: Participants debated the problems of labor market harmonization, regulatory and legislative control, and the touchpoints between educational trajectories and the real challenges of the "Hotel, Restaurant, and Catering" specialty.
