On November 14, 2023, a large-scale event for the tourism and hospitality industry took place — the I All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "Marketing and organizational mechanisms of post-war development of the hospitality and tourism industry of Ukraine". Hosted by the National Technical University "Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", the event brought together over 70 higher education institutions, as well as international partners from Germany, Kazakhstan, and Georgia. The organizing committee received over 280 abstracts. The co-organizers included leading educational institutions, such as the Lviv State University of Physical Culture named after Ivan Boberskyi.
During the plenary session, participants discussed the prospects of post-war recovery for Ukraine's hospitality and tourism sector. The Ukrainian Hospitality School is always at the epicenter of such discussions. Mykhailo Sheveliuk — head of Horeca School, marketing and SEO manager of the "Swiss" hotel and "Valentino" restaurant — delivered a profound presentation on the topic: "Stimulating growth in the hospitality and tourism industry during and after the war: insights on marketing and organizational mechanisms in Ukraine".
The participation of market leaders in such scientific events is extremely important. Communication with practitioners and industry experts helps to shape new standards and provides students with relevant professional knowledge to rebuild our country.
