The hospitality, restaurant, and hotel sectors in Ukraine are entering a new phase of institutional maturity where officially certified expertise is the primary driver of market competitiveness. Today's labor market requires a transparent, objective system for validating practical skills, industry knowledge, and operational competencies.
LLC "PROFESSIONAL TRAINING SCHOOL" (Hospitality School "HoReCa School") has initiated the formal establishment of a dedicated, independent Qualification Center. On August 12, 2026, an official application (Ref. No. QC-12082026) was submitted to Yuriy Balanyuk, Head of the National Agency of Qualifications (NQA), to conduct working consultations and begin the formal accreditation process.
Mission of the Qualification Center: From Experience to State Recognition
The primary objective of the new center is to establish an accredited assessment infrastructure within an active enterprise to evaluate, validate, and award state-recognized professional qualifications across the hospitality sector.
Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Learning: Professionals who have built extensive practical expertise through industry experience, specialized courses, or self-directed learning can undergo structured validation to receive an official state qualification certificate.
Awarding and Upgrading Professional Skill Levels: Assessing both theoretical proficiency and practical execution according to National Qualifications Framework (NQF) standards.
Registration in the NQA Qualifications Register: Certificates issued by the Center possess legal validity across Ukraine, assisting employers in recruitment, staff development, and transparent payroll grading.
Target Qualification Tracks and Professional Standards
The accreditation agenda covers the core operational roles within the hospitality and food service sectors:
Hotel Administration & Front Office: Evaluation of reservation software fluency, front desk protocols, guest conflict resolution, emergency procedures, and service management.
Housekeeping & Facility Management: Assessment of room-cleaning standard operating procedures (SOPs), sanitization regulations, safe chemical handling, and luxury hotel standards.
Restaurant Floor Management & Maître D': Verification of shift coordination, banquet and event logistics, protocol service supervision, and guest experience psychology.
Professional Waitstaff: Practical testing on service styles (French, English, American), comprehensive table setting, banquet protocols, and food and beverage pairing fundamentals.
Barista & Coffee Specialists: Comprehensive assessment in coffee extraction mechanics, grind calibration, espresso machinery maintenance, sensory evaluation, and latte art techniques.
Bartender & Mixologist: Practical evaluation of modern and classic cocktail methods (build, stir, shake, blend, layer), bar inventory accounting, and bar hospitality standards.
